Allies of the United States

NATO is a military alliance developed after World War Two to ensure transatlantic cooperation between the United States of America, Canada, Britain, France, Italy, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Portugal, Denmark, Norway and Iceland. NATO was expanded during the Cold War and troops from the allied nations fought in the Korean War. With the fall of the Berlin Wall, NATO continued to expand into Eastern Europe.

Equally of interest are the non NATO allies of the US. Among them, Morocco (strategically positioned at the Strait of Gibraltar), Australia & New Zealand (English speaking south pacific), Israel (to prevent future Holocaust), Egypt & Jordan (to protect Israel), Kuwait & Bahrain (to ensure the supply of Oil and protect the Persian Gulf), South Korea (to stop North Korea), Japan (to protect them because they can't declare war), Philippines (former US colony), Thailand (to protect from Myanmar), Pakistan (to persuade them not to nuke India) and Argentina (they're near the south pole? idk?).

Edit: the US alliance with Argentina might be to control both the Straight of Magellan and Drake's Passage, the principle naval routes for ships too large to go through the Panama Canal
